About Us - Proactive Physio

The company is led by Chris Argles, supported by clinical manager Rachel Barber, and combined they have over 25 years experience in physiotherapy. Rachel our clinical manager has worked in Intermediate Care in Leeds for over 10 years and manages the day-to-day clinical aspect of the service.

Within our team there are a number of full time physiotherapists and full time physiotherapy assistants working alongside Rachel. We deliver a 7 day physiotherapy service which involves all aspects of physiotherapy intervention including administration of therapy, attendance to MDT meetings, undertaking home visits and liaising with all other team members, associated services, relatives and family. We endeavour to see all residents 2 x per day where indicated Monday to Friday, and all residents once per day on the weekend.

Pro Active Physio delivers patient centred and goal focused, personalised rehabilitation to ensure patients are able to be discharged from the CIC facility in a safe and timely manner, promoting function and developing confidence.
We believe it is importance to encourage an environment of rehabilitation and independence as opposed to dependence on staff to undertake all care needs.

Personalised

Exercise programmes

Personalised exercise programmes are issued to all residents where appropriate and these are delivered by our staff once per day alongside a rehabilitation session.

Residents are then encouraged to undertake these independently and with visitors / carers at other times throughout the day.

Quality Assurance

Rigid processes

The organisation has rigid quality assurance processes, using outcome measures throughout the rehabilitation process, conducting internal audits to appraise effectiveness, and providing appropriate training to all staff to ensure they are working at an optimal level.
We monitor our patient contact levels, outcomes and length of stay independently and review these on a monthly basis.

The Pro Active Team

All therapists are registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), and are registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
